Good morning everyone I hope your all keeping well? My question this morning is, that I have a plum tree and a cherry tree in my garden and I would like to know how to keep the fruit safe from my little animal friends? Thank you.

Fine mesh (deer mesh) will do the trick - remove any bird feeders you may have in the garden - pepper juice around the base of the trees will deter rabbits - finaly you could put traps into the trees to catch the pest that raid them - like the grey Squirrels (a tree rat on legs) -If it is one off our native Squirrels (Red) then take it about 5 miles from your home and release it - Ken

Should you be lucky enough to have red squirrels then you should do everything it encourage them. Please do not attempt to catch and relocate them. Contact Norfolk Wildlife Trust, telephone: 01603 625540 or email: info@norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk

Grey squirrels, on the other hand, are officially classed as vermin and NWT may offer advice on how to deal with them.
