Mine are the same, Bloomsbury. This plant can be killed by hard frost, but it usually produces seedlings, so look round the base and see in a few weeks' time.

Thanks for those thoughts. I lost them last year and replaced them so am slightly anxious this year, especially after all that cold! Will be patient...

Hmmm... not so good if they were new - they might not have rooted in well. Keep looking, though. The seedlings do appear in the oddest places!

I find they seed several feet away from the parent. If I have spares later on I will be able to send you some.

Thanks Seaburngirl that would be great and a really kind offer. Will wait until I am back from Egypt at the end of March and 'review the situation' ... in the hopes that seedlings appear. Rather think we will all have lost a few things! Watch this space and thank you all.
