I found a purple flower on my Clematis 'Freckles' yesterday. I would like to propogate but as there are 3 flowers on the stem, 1 purple and 2 look like they might be normal colour, should I remove flowers or is it worth pollinating them?

It is a cirrhosa clematis x and they are usually propagated by layering. I'm sure someone will be able to help or you could contact the Guernsey Clematis grower who produced it. It is a beautiful colour and it would be a shame to discard it if there is a way to propagate it successfully.
