In my compost bins, there are dozens of large "yellow" and green coloured slugs. Is this normal,or should I try and get rid of them.

In my compost bins, there are dozens of large "yellow" and green coloured slugs. Is this normal,or should I try and get rid of them.

Fairly normal. These sound like leopard slugs which actually are omnivorous. They eat other slugs. Better in the heap than out in the garden. They will or should be hibernating soon.
