what is the growth pattern of a stellata magnolia? I have had one that's 3 ft tall for 3 years. What can I expect?

They can get fairly large. Mine is about 12 years old and is 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide. The shape gets spoilt if you prune them so only do this if absolutely necessary.
