brought this plant from ikea to have in the house, after three weeks the leafs are turning brown look dry,unhealthy and the plant seems to be leaning forward. I have only water the plant from the bottom on a saucer and removed any excess water as instructed on label. Do you have any suggestions as to why my phoenix roebelenii looks so sad.

It won't like the heated, dry air in your home - prefers a greenhouse, and can be left outside in the summer. Also, with Ikea plants, one never knows how well (or not) they've been treated before you take them home - they could have been left somewhere too cold or too hot or not watered properly.
