You are growing veg... why would you expect the plots to look 'Oh wow ' right now?

perhaps you could make the area into a potager, with permanent herbs such as chives or rosemary at the edges or corners. narsurtium seeds planted in the spring give edible flowers, parsley sage and bay are all productive too. if you have a small plot it often has to be ornamental too if you have to look at it every day
