If this is for a sunny area, Delphiniums, Veronicastrum virginicum, Dictamnus albus or D. purpureus, Leucanthemum, and Hollyhocks for tall plants, and medium sized ones in front - Phlox paniculata, Veronica, Alstromeria, hardy geraniums, Scabiosa, Penstemons. So many come to mind!
