Yes, they're herbaceous perennials, which means that the top growth dies back, you cut it back and the new shoots appear in the spring. I planted three new ones last year at a spacing of about 2'. They're very reliable plants.

And their flowers seem to glow in the evening towards twilight. Some have good scent too, especially in the evening.
