My Palm trees have all dropped their palms because of the snow. Two are over 15foot high and are at least 12 years old. will I have to dig them out?

You might, if you don't want to wait and see what happens. You don't say what kind of palms they are - if they're cordylines, you can try cutting them down to about half and see if they resprout from anywhere. If they're other kinds of palm, you can't do this.
