Presuming that the weather is kind to us all over the Easter bank holiday what will you all be doing in the vegetable patch? I don't want to get behind.

We 'should' be planting potatoes and onion sets and sowing spinach. However, as we 'could' be in for more snow by the weekend it is possible that a fire, a book and the computer opened up to GoY might be more realistic :-(((.
I think you should be listening to your more southern friends for advice, Great!

I need to get my onion sets in...should have done it already really....and I need to get my parsnips sown too. I also want to make a strawberry bed. Indoors, I sowed cucumbers last week and they're already up! The greenhouse could do with a cleanout too.......I should sow some lettuces.... Will I get all this done in one weekend?! Anyone's guess!

You are all lucky to be at home Easter week-end....Some of us have to work....sob!!!

Get the rest of my early potatoes in, sow my onion sets, get a sowing of lettuce (under fleece), another half row of carrots, broad beans, peas.........
Even with the extra dys off work I'm not sure there are enough hours in the day(s) to do everything I would like to.

Oh Motinot I am sorry you haven't got time off over the Easter, I worked over Easter quite a lot before its no fun. Any way the weather man says the weather will be awful cold and raining all week end so the rest of us might as well work; it doesn't seem like any of us will be in the garden groan

Your right there Rogerbee. There are never enough hours spent in the garden. What variety of potatoes do you grow??Don't like broad beans myself

Charlotte and Juliette as salad potatoes & Cara for a main crop.

Why do they give potatoes girls names ?? You never hear of man sounding spuds!! Like Michael or James . I have never heard of Juliette are they nice?? Silly question you wouldn't be growing them otherwise would you. Don;t like Cara myself.

Winston, Gladstone, King Edward; would you allow Duke of York, Bonnie Dundee and Lord Rosebery. All names of potatoes, but I know what you mean.
