In which case leave them in their pots until they have flowered and the leaves died off, then unpot and plant the bulbs as above. For this season you could bury the pot in the ground and dig it up later.

They like a moist, semi-shaded soil and should be planted a couple of inches deep, and a few inches appart in a clump.
