name of laurel and cuttings question please . can anybody give me the name of the laurel that is bright red with its new spring growth ( i think its red something) and turns green later in the year, and if and when you can take cuttings, thanks for future answers.

Yes that sounds like the one. The leaves are quite similar to some laurels
As regards cuttings of photinia red robin. Take softwood cuttings in early summer or semi-ripe cuttings in summer and autumn.
