i planted some sweet peas yesterday and now having looked online realaise i should have pricked them or rubbed the hard skin with an emery board, will they still grow?

I have never heard of this!!! Just sow them in compost! i did this last week and they are poking through the compost already!!! I have got them indoors just to keep them warm. In late April I will throw some outside where they are to grow

thanks all, i have potted them in compost and they are on the windowsill. i hope they come up.

Hi mine grew well without being soaked first.Grew some in the Autumn which are planted out and doing well now.

i asume you have sown seeds.. outside? they will be ok may be slow to appear .. i usually soak mine for a couple of hours before sowing but don`t know if it has any bearing on germination
