If you planted pennisetum last year will it come back this Spring.? It is still very brown like it is dead.

It depends on which kind of Pennisetum it is, Trinity. The taller, coarser species tend to be more tropical in nature, and may well have frozen in the kind of winter Texas just experienced. The finer-textured species should already be showing new growth at the base--and probably should already have been pruned nearly to the ground, to allow them free rein. If you can post a picture of it growing last summer, I could probably give it a tentative ID.
