my Rosemary plant looks dead. This is the second one I have lost in the last 2 years - what am I doing wrong?

They like a sunny, very sheltered spot, preferably south facing against a wall if you live somewhere colder. They can be killed quite easily in their first year or two, especially if they're in a pot. This plant should always be planted in spring, not in autumn, to give it time to grow on before the winter comes.

snap, mine looks terrible too, but I thought I would water and feed it to see if anything happens ! however I do not hold out much hope.

Thanks for the information - will try another one this spring and put in a sunny sheltered spot in the garden as mine was in a tub.

I had the same thing in pots but have had a lot more success since I planted rosemary in a sunny sheltered corner........it even flowers.
