you must give it plenty of water for several weeks. this wilting is normal as you have broken the fine roots that pick up water. It will recover given time.

thanks i will try that should it be covered at the moment or just left to the elements.

~you could try covering with a clear bell cloche and don't have it in full sun until it comes round ~

I'd just leave it and keep watering morning and night, unless it is really windy then I might give the soil more mid afternoon.
