We are having torrential nonstop rain here, we've also had snow showers amongst it and tonight the temps have dropped and the wind is getting up, forcast on local radio say more rain over the weekend... There just seems no letup and I really feel for the poor folk living in the flooded areas.....Cannot remember Rutland Water ever being as full as it is this year.....

Rather moist, to put it conservatively. Another super high tide expected tonight - hope I can get through to St Davids tomorrow!

Hi Kath, it's been dark, wet, miserable and cold all day, had to have my dipped headlights on going into town at 2pm, we may get a bit of white tonight, or we may escape it, { hope so !! }, should brighten up a little by Sunday, Derek.

Until this week I would have said great! For the past six days cold, wet windy and totally grey! Given Bulba's and my other passion is bird watching no fun! Oh and I have a flu type bug - yuck!

for about 3 weeks now we have had rain some days very heavy ground all around now full i live on a hill but water not going anywhere getting realy frustrated now penned in house day after day

Here in Wuppertal it is raining heavily with very strong winds.

Cold wet sleet rain strong winds for two days, this morning at 6.30 the sky was clear, and I could see the sunrise changing the dark sky.....birds singing too........WoW!

Sunny here this morning. Yesterday afternoon very wet.

We drove back from Paisley yesterday. There was sleet around Abington. The weather was appalling south of Tebay - it was very wet and murky, and the amount of spray meant that visibility was very poor. By early afternoon, back in Lancs it was a bit lighter but my mother said it had been very wet and windy for a while.

But today it is bright and sunny!

You cant trust it for long, our paper says we could have this till mid February.

Colder but bright sunshine here Lincs/Rutland border, its grand although rain s'posed to arrive later, we even have a blue sky,( sigh) it really gives one a lift, had a wander down the garden and aconites and snowdrops smiled at me..

It's getting dark clouds now and very cold.

But I did get out a long wail without waterproofs and laundry dryed outdoors.

Just went and taken some more lavender cuttings .

And boy it's so icy cold now but so far still dry.

still dry here too but clouding over now and very strong winds, we had a bit of what i like to call "freak" weather the other week, there was one bit of lighting and thunderous clap of thunder then hailstones, it looked like there was a light dusting of snow on the ground.

A long wail would be about it if we went walking rond here just now Scotcat...

Certainly not the weather for going in the allotment, the ground is very wet and we have still had more rain this afternoon

Yeah got out to do some birding - first for Bulba and self an Great Northern Diver!
