hi fellow G-O-Yers if a plant that requires well drained soil is growing in heavy soil what are the first signs of it struggling -

yes bamboo i do like your answer and taking your advice... i was just desperate and wondered to myself wether this was the cause , patience is a virtue i must learn :-)

You didn't mention the waterlogging in the previous question - it might, or might not, be a factor, but presumably it will clear, if it hasn't already. Dunno what the weather's like with you now, but quite frankly, we could do with a bit of waterlogging here in west London - I have to go out and put the sprinkler on it's so dry...

The leaves will turn colour and they will drope. You need to add a good quality compost to the hole before planting, make the hole biggrt than the plant and dig abit into the bottom layer of soil. Er What plant are we talking abiout here Viv?
