My little box hedge planted about 3 years ago has red tipped leaves; is this normal? Could it be due to wind damage?. It is growing in a fairly shaded area of the garden

Dry, dead, rusty red, Great? Or live, glossy, purplish red?

If the former, possibly frost damage, especially after the winter I hear you folks just had. If the latter, that pigment is a natural antifreeze that the bush produces. It usually makes less of it in the shade, but this year may be an exception.
