Sorry, this is what you should do - wait for the first lot of flowers to end, then grasp all the stems together, pull them upright (gently) and trim down to about six inches from the base. This will then make new growth and new flowers. Phew - got your question mixed up with one about a patio rose, dear oh dear...

Oh yes - prune back to just above an outward facing bud, making a slanted cut sloping down from the bud
