my phormiums leaves have gone quite brown after the harsh winter and I wanted to know if its ok to cut them back and how best to do it. I have 2 and they are both very large plants. Thanks

Cut the worst leaves off at the base,I find a stout pair of scissors better than secateurs. Leave any which aren't too bad until you have plenty of new growth.This will enable the plants to recover and you will still have some shape to them :)
