2 feet is pretty close for such a large Cordyline, but its the footings you have to worry about, not the brickwork of the house. Footings usually extend about a foot beyond the outside wall of a house, so that means the Cordyline roots are within a foot. their root system isn't that penetrating or even that extensive compared to other trees, but I'd be inclined to chop it down and poison the stump and perhaps plant another one elsewhere, as its got so very large. Expected height for Cordylines in this country is said to be 12 feet - clearly yours is much, much taller than that!
