i planted some strawberry plants today would i need to cover them to protect them from frost if so what do i need to do and use please thanks sue

I cover mine if I hear it will be frosty, dont like tto take the chance

They Should be fine, Strawberry Plants can tolerate frost

Hi Sue, if they were outside at the gc then they will be hardened off any way so should be fine. If worried you can cover them with horticultural fleece, failing that an old net curtain or sheet over night. lift it off in the morning. repeat every night for 1 week and they should be fine. :o)
