What is the best combination of two varieties to get akebia quinata to set fruit? Thanks for responses but I understood you get more fruit if you have more than one variety??

This climber carries both male and female flowers on each plant - the male ones are at the bottom of a cluster, female at the top, so don't really need anything else to set fruit. You are, though, reliant on some insect transferring the pollens around - unless you want to do it yourself with a paintbrush or something. Its easier with A. quinata - the female flowers are deep purple, the male ones much paler.
