I have a cherry tree & every year I never get any cherries due to the birds eating them before they have had a chance to ripen, When the tree was small we did manage to put a net over it but now it is tall & we are pensioners we can not manage to do that so would be very grateful if you could advise of any detterent that would enable us to enjoy the cherries instead of the birds also Squirrels. Awaiting your earliest reply please. Thankyou

We had a similar issue with a huge gean in the garden and we just learned to share with the birds. In our case there were always plenty for both of us.

The old gardeners would sometimes put a scrap of fur in a fruit tree so the birds would think there was a preditor like a stoat in there. Think you'd have to change the position quite often tho to keep fooling the birdies.

Not an easy one - I have a friend who hangs her unwanted CDs and DVDs from bits of string in hers - it works for a while.
