Does anyone know what effects the recent ash cloud will have on the soil of our green and pleasant land. For example are there any nutrional benefits that may be gained from the recent event.

Well it fell in the north of Scotland where we live. Volcanic ash is high in nutrients and so is generally good for the soil.
