Repairing a lawn
My small lawn is very patchy, i want to repair the patches but if have a dog so cannot keep him off, i was thinking about putting a repair treatment on the patches then putting smallsticks around these patches to keep the dog away while it grows back, any other ideas please and what treatment can anyone recommend, thank you

Small lawns and animals do not go together I fear. Cats are not too bad ,but dogs do need some space.

Bamboo canes with rope or string wound between at different levels is the only way, unless you've got a spare roll or two of clematis mesh knocking about, anything the dog can't get through or jump over - you have to do same thing with small children around too.
