No luck trying to grow tulipa sprengeri from bulbs. Any tips on how to grow from seed, please?

From seed you are talking about 5 to 7 years to flowering too. We have had no trouble with it, must admit. Likes a well drained soil in a sunny position where the bulb can get a decent baking in Summer. As Bambbo says, it is a later flowerer than some.

I 'think' ours are just coming into flower but if you are growing from as Owdb says 5 - 7 years to flowering bulb size

If it's like the species I've been experimenting with, 2-3 years to flowering even from a bulb. If it's not even producing leaves, try using a sandier soil mix the next time you plant it--most species tulips are native to desert or semi-desert areas.
