What plants can I grow around a tree stump?

cowslips? One has come up in our garden, don't know how it got there, looks very happy. Primroses are same family, so praps they'd like it too.

hi there i just inherited a garden and have several tree stumps which get obscured nicely with crocosnia the yellow orange ones which flower for quite a long time and being corms and perennials they come up every year so you could plant some nice arching flower stems and quite tall
