My elderly neighbour has borders infested with alliums, no flowers come just the leaves coming up everywhere. I tried pulling all these out for her in the autumn. They just seem to just multiply. How do we get rid of them.

why wud u do that ,they r lovely .dig them up and give to sum1 who wants them . its called recycleing lol :0)

keep pulling them and then as the foliage is dying down the spray the alliums with glycophosphate [round up] type weedkiller. It will go into the bulb and destroy the bulb as it 'overwinters'.
