golden hornet is slightly different according to the book. the M.floribunda is the japanese crab.
golden hornet..... small tree white flowers bright yellow fruits
some varieties grown for their beauty of shape and not the fruit.
M floribunda(japanese crab)....has long arching branches and red buds opening to pale pink flowers.
