we have recently planted our fierthorn in the garden which was previously in a container - it is now looking a bit sad and the leaves are dying. is there any advice to revive it please?

I planted one last autumn and got upset because leaves drooped off. Now it is flourishing with loads of buds and new leaves. I wondered if it was the change of location from protected to the harsh reality of a cold garden.
