Hi mine is about four years old and I got my info from the garden centre. If you look at my photo's my wsteria is starting to bloom at the moment. Each to there own, but I didnt want to waste seven years just looking at the leaves when you can have beautiful flowers. It does not harm the plant if it flowers earlier.I feed mine on a multi-purpose food and have only cut it back once as I explained to make it flower when it had died back. The decision is yours lol...

fair enough same result ones a quicker and a bit of messing about the other is more natural . i would be inclined to force mine to as it goes if i had room for some lol .

hi mobee If you cut each tendrill back leaving three notches on each it will flower next year. If you dont understand please contact me and I will try to explain. Leave it now till it dies back before you cut it.
