i have an ancient conference pear tree that has never been looked after, (it`s hidden away at the bottom of the garden) it seems to have some sort of greenish/grey fungs all over the branches ,it fruits fine every year but can any one identify the fungus and how to get rid of it

Are you sure it is a fungus? Old pear trees often have lots
of lichen on the bark.
