My dwarf deans have wilted! They are growing with nasturtiums or sweetpeas in large pots in an unheated stone outbuilding with a clear platic roof. I live in Orkney and the weather outside has been very cold.

We have just bought a packet of dwarf beans. On the back it says 'do not sow before 10 May'. As these seeds are sold nationwide I thought this to be a little bit too precise :-)))! I will not be sowing ours until next month, Keenster, although I intend to start climbing beens in pots, in the greenhouse, today.

Nasturtiums and sweet peas are much more cold tolerant than beans. Even if they didn't actually freeze. temperatures lower than 7 deg. C would damage the beans.
