I recently read an article about wisteria scale, an Asian invader, it said that the infection was centred in the South, however I have a mature plant that for no apparent reason has started to die. Has the pest moved North ( Yorks ) or may it be something else.

You'd see it if it was scale, on the bark and stems at least. There is something else afflicting Wisteria, apart from the things it suffers from normally, which causes wilting and then die back - RHS so far is not 100% certain what it is.

How do I say thanks?
