no flowers on my damson this year, and it has had very poor fruiting level for the last two years, before this it was prolific.

Try feeding it with potash and clear any plants/grass/weeds from around the base if possible. I wonder if it needs a pollinator? Maybe it's 'mate' has been cut down (possibly in someone else's garden?). Do you know the variety?
