sounds as if its been caught by a late frost if its just the new growth-- just the tips, if its an odd branch remove it and if unsightly trim the frosted bits but maybe wait a couple of weeks to be sure that the frosts have gone, if its more than that let us know and we'll have another think

I had this on Aucuba...and 2 weeks ago, on advice from Bamboo et al, I cut them back hard to remove every last blackened leaf! They seem to be doing fine now. Other people have told me similar stories about Laurels generally...and all blame the sever winter weather.
