My delphiniums (planted last year) are growing very well. Will it be alright to cut off the bottom leaves which are lying on the ground. I would hate to damage the plants

Hi Mayamurdo....I don't think you'll damage the plants by removing the bottom leaves....just watch out for slugs and snails sliding further up and feeding from the flowerbuds.

Janey, Thanks for the advice on my delphiniums, they are absolutely beautiful now, at least they were until we got heavy rain and high winds. I have sent in some photos, take a look and let me know what you think of them.
