I hjave a Cordaline about seven foot tall, it flowered last year, and then the flower died off, shoukld I cut off the dead flower or leave it.

I would cut off the dead flower spike, just for the sake of neatness. Nip it off as close to where it comes out of the head as possible, but be careful not to damage the new sprouts around it.
