keeping you guys busy......i have a honeysuckle plant it says to prune on a regular basis to stop it getting out of hand,is that any hard and fast rules for pruning ..many thanks

No, it doesn't, I'm afraid, biggerbazzer, lol! I know its Lonicera (that just means honeysuckle) but I wondered what the rest of the name was - do you have a label on it?

thats all thats on the label.,other than ,vigorous twining climber with scented flowers ,followed by berries in summer .cheers

Okay, not much help, but if it has "berries in summer" that probably indicates an earlier flowering one, so cut back after the main flush of flowers is finished.
