my virginia creeper looks as thogh it has been pulled off the wall afew times, it hanhs downwards with long tendrils. what shall I do

I would just take my pruners and chop off the hanging parts, followed by a gentle feeding. Trying to stick the hanging stems back up just isn't practical, and it rarely lasts long: better to just let it grow back and stick naturally. Virginia creeper seems to stick better to bare masonry than to painted surfaces. Hope this helps!
