Hi, one of our neighbours has a hedge with rich red foliage at this time of year. Can anyone suggest what it might be? It is about 5 - 6 foot high with broad leaves! I can't go and ask as he is renowned for kicking people off of his property! Lol

Difficult without a pic _ but it could be a Photinia Red Robinn?

Yes, I've seen loads of that in hedges round & about. Or is it a darker winey red, could be cotinus, the smoke bush, can't imagine that making a gd thick hedge though?

If it's evergreen, and the leaves are shiny, then yes, Photinia 'Red Robin'...Cotinus is only just waking up and it's deciduous.
