Thank you Owdboggy..also,do I leave the dying flowerheads on to die down naturally,or should I cut them off please, and would a shaded or sunny position be best ?
Thank you too,Eamonn, but I couldn't find a related question by Melchisedec, for the 4th December..even looked at that date in 2012..

Sorry, remove the flower heads, but leave the leaves well alone. Feed with foliage feed if you have some. Ours are all in full sun.

That's great, thank you..no need to say sorry,I should have asked in the first place..:o) I shall do them this afternoon..and remember to add a label to remind me where they are....so easy to forget when digging around :o)

Thanks Pam..I don't have clay soil,so they may be ok..two chances,as they are now planted out ! :o)...and Eamonn,no problem at all..it didn't take me that long..I hadn't much else to do :o) ..and yes,I did leave the stem intact, and only took the spent flowers off...thank you for your help anyway ..

Goodness me Bloomer, I thought you were the font of all knowledge...why do you think I pick your brains whenever we meet up lol?
I've planted lots of indoor bulbs into the garden, once they've finished flowering, including Hyacinths. Most have done fine. I just let them die back naturally once I've planted. :)

Lol,Waddy,so you see,I'm not as good as you thought I was..you have discovered my Achilles heel ! :o) thanks for that, they are duly planted..and labelled..Thomas was upset they had now died,as he potted them up,but I will show him where they are...what's betting he will want to dig them up to have a look ?? xx

My little cousin did that! The bean he planted grew a leaf and so he pulled it out to see what was going on underneath, he'd have been about Thomas's age.....bless x

Yes, we have a garden full of ones planted out after flowering. They may take a season to flower again, but they usually do eventually and spread too.
