I planted a hydrangea in a large pot last spring and put the pot in a sheltered position in a corner between 2 walls. It produced beautiful large white flowers. However, towards the end of the summer it began to bend away from the corner. The stems are still bent in that direction. Can you please tell me why.

Are the stems trying to grow towards the light?

Very few plants will grow towards walls. If it has to stay in that position you might try turning it round regularly to give all sides equal light. If you turn it now the new growth will grow towards the light and balance it.

How do I say thanks?
