bugs i have a bay leaft tree but its started getting little brown bugs that look like small flat woodlices in cobwebs any ideas what they are.They are all over the branches christine from nottingham

Grayish or pinkish "woodlice"? In thick, wooly, sticky, white "cobwebs"? If so, it sounds like mealybugs. Just use a good insectide for aphids, but mixed with a surfactant, such as dish soap, to get past the "cobwebs". Hope this helps.

sound to me like scale insect, spray with a bug killer, or if you are organic scrape of with a stick or something similar and wash with soapy water.
