I would like to level out my garden but this will mean that the two cherry trees that are planted already (15 years ago approx) will be about a foot lower than the new soil level. Is there anything I can do to protect them or will they be ok? Many thanks.

The soil level around the cherry trees needs to remain at the height it is otherwise you will kill them.
