I have a Damson tree that was planted in 2003, and is now about 10feet high.
It produces a lot of blossom each spring, but this turns into very little fruit. My best harvest has been 36 fruit!
The tree receives sun from midday to early evening and is not hemmed in by other trees.
Some leaf curling has occurred but not much.
Why do I get so little fruit.

I have the same problem with Merryweather and that is supposed to be self fertile. I have only had two damsons on mine. All I can think of is that it flowers a bit too early for its position.

it probably needs another similar tree to pollinate it. there is another tree nearby which is why you got the plums. however a cold spell /frost after pollination will stop the fruit formation.
