I have had the same problem with fuchsia cuttings overwintered in a cool bedroom. Yours look as though they could be indoors and, if so, unlikely to be wind burn. It looks to me like it could be white fly, as were mine. Look on the underside of the leaves and also if you knock the stems, do the flies fly off? Spray with a whitefly, greenfly etc killer and hopefully that should cure the problem. I have now got rid of the whitefly but keeping fingers crossed that plants will recover. Good luck!

Further to Doreen's' advise. If they are aphids (white fly, greenfly, etc), then spray the plant with a strong soap solution. Washing-up liquid will work fine.

I suppose any soap solution will do the trick Maisiesdad, and I suppose Ecover products are better for the environment so this would be even more of an organic option?

I've also heard that oil, either sprayed on the leaves on it's own, or mixed with the soap solution which will cause the oil to emulsify also works. This would obviously have to be an oil from a sustainable source ;o)
